About Adrian

Mr. Adrian Shun Fai, Kwan lives in London, UK. Adrian was born and raised in Hong Kong. Adrian has been working as a movie, documentary, corporate short films director, screenplay, and producer for over twenty years. Adrian has also worked in many different countries in the world including in the UK., Hong Kong, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, South Africa, Malaysia, and Singapore in the past twenty years.

Film Making Experiences and Awards

Adrian has directed and written more than twenty feature films, short films, and documentaries including  ‘L3000’; ‘DeathZone’; ‘Find Your Voice’; ‘Little Big Master’; ‘Team of Miracle: We Will Rock You’; ‘The Miracle Box’; ‘6 Am’; ‘If You Care’, ‘Life is a Miracle’, etc. One of Adrian latest Feature Film entitled ‘Find Your Voice’ has been released in Nov 2020 in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. Adrian has Won “The Perseverance Award” in the 4th Kongest Film Award (Hong Kong) on April 30th, 2021. The short film ‘L3000’ has won 15th international film festival awards including the Best Director, Best Sci-Fi, Best original Narrative short, Best Editing and Best Cinematographer.

One of his favorite feature films entitled ‘Little Big Master’ which was the number one rated movie at the box office in Hong Kong in 2015. This movie was nominated 5 awards by ‘35th Hong Kong Film Awards’, the biggest movie ceremony in Asia including the ‘Best Movie’, ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Supporting Actor’.

Adrian was nominated as ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Screenplay’.

In 2019, the committee of ‘38th Hong Kong Film Awards’ invited Adrian as a producer and director to produce a series of current affairs documentaries about caring for the underprivileged children entitled ‘A Little Big Dream’.

In 2015, Adrian has produced and directed a public affairs short film and a documentary entitled ‘My Daughter’s Story’ for Joshua Hellmann Foundation for Orphan Disease, The Vital Step Program, and Med Johnson Nutrition. This production has won 9 awards across 6 Major PR Awards in Hong Kong & The Region in 2016.

Adrian was nominated as “Best New Generation Director" for his director’s work “If You Care" in 22nd  Hong Kong Film Awards in 2002.

His documentary “Stranger" won the “Best Educational Documentary Award" and the “Best New Director Award"in “Saskatchewan Showcase" of Canada in 1993.

Creative Director of the Charity Fund / Museum

Adrian has also accumulated a lot of working experience. He was invited to be a Creative Director in a local Charity Fund to help children who are living in underprivileged situations and families. With years of experience in movie directing, Adrian has also experienced being involved in several large-scale charity events in Hong Kong. Those events encourage the spirit of loving your neighbor and caring for the less fortunate communities.

Adrian also has experienced as a creative producer and consultant for Noah’s Ark Exhibition Museum (Hong Kong) from 2007 to 2009 to provide creative idea and produce short film for different exhibits.

Teaching Experiences

Adrian also has a wealth of teaching experience. From 2019 to 2020, Adrian is a part-time lecturer in School of Continuing and Professional Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the guest Lecturer in Digital Media, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Adrian has done more than one hundred sharing and film seminars in different schools including Universities and high schools. Adrian has served as a judge and special guest speaker in different academic film festivals. Adrian’s mission is to bring good impact to the world through his productions and to share all his knowledge, experience, and passion with the next generation.
